Got this for a trip we took to Illinois for my 8yo. I knew she'd have no interest in reading a book on the state we were going to, so I purposely got something on a super easy reading level so I could convince her to read through it since it'll only take a few minutes - but that would still give good nuggets of info. She ended up really enjoying it and referred to it several times and asked to look stuff up in it several times. And I got some good nuggets too. I was just disappointed that they didn't have one of these for all the states we went to.
