I purchased this book for my daughter (who attends waldorf school), and am returning it . Out of the 13 stories- not even one !! of the human characters is female.Two of the stories have female animals-- 1 sheep, 1 bird. Most stories emphasizing hierarchy , and sibling rivalry all highlighting medieval attitudes.... Even the animal stories… one about an ox whose friend the ass convinces him to refuse to pull the cart, the result being "the farmer says that if you are too mad to pull the ox- cart, he may as well kill you" One 'sweet' poem about shooting a rabbit. Horrible!

This is a great reader for kids in second grade. After this, we moved on to her seven year old wonder book.

I like some of the stories but some are too graphic for me.

A great book for third graders. The language is rich, the illustrations lovely and the stories carry a beautiful truth and simplicity. My class loved it as our class reader.

A lovely book for first readers! It contains lovely stories and verses that will captivate young readers and delight them with timeless images and beautiful language.

I bought this for use in our home Waldorf studies for Grades 1 and 2. I have enjoyed Isabel Wyatt's other titles for my children as new fairy tales, with better imagery, outcomes and circumstances than Grimm's or Andersen's, and often clearer, though unspoken moral lessons. This one is, well, not as good as I expected. The pictures, while classically Waldorf, will seem to many people simple, unskillful, and even muddy (and the one of "elves" actually would have looked a bit like scary ghosts to me as a child). It doesn't help that many are not in color. I enjoyed a few of the stories told by Isabel Wyatt (especially Hay for My Ox and the Tree of Three Cries) but the stories, if meant to be read by the child, are not as simple, short, or using short words, as I would expect in a first reader, though there is some of the repetition of phrases that makes these, like other Wyatt stories, such good tales to be told aloud. This may have been a much needed book when it was first published in 1968--we will keep it and use it but I think that there may now be better waldorf early readers out there. Though I may change my mind when we start to use it. I dislike the pictures more than I do the text, though I agree with another reviewer that the story about the ox and the ass, and the poem about the hare have somewhat disagreeable content. (the hare was shot at, but happily discovered it was alive, jumped up and ran away--doesn't sound too far from a children's game!)

This is an actual text book outlining the surgical techniques required for the implantation of the Spinal Cord Stimulator. I was waiting for my surgery when I decided I wanted to know what was to happen. Although I was awake throughout throughout the surgery I knew sI could see nothing of the implant site on my lower back. Reading about the surgery answered many of my questions and frightened my surgeon. He was stunned that I had found and read this book but by the following morning he had realized that of course I would go read about it all. I felt better prepared so there were no surprises - except that I felt like I had been run over by a fleet of Mack trucks.Recommended for those who have a passion for knowing what is being done to them.

This book is well-written and concise. I am not familiar with Dr. Kreis, but have heard and read from Dr. Fishman, a very productive author in the field of pain medicine. Their book is a great book to share with other providers about SCS.The book amounts to a short review of SCS, technique and application. It deliberate skirts any complex or esoteric applications (retrograde peripheral nerve stimulation, occipital applications), and prepares the provider for training. A good refresher or introduction for the pain fellow or rotating resident. There are books that are more technical, and if you do SCS, you should have one of these, but this one is for sharing with patients and other providers. Thanks, Drs. Kreis and Fishman!

Best book for learning SCS. It has a step by by step explanation of both the trial and the permanent implant.

Really good book for people who are beginning and are about to begin doing this procedure.

As with all the ZF books, you laugh as much as you cringe. The Talbots are still doing their best to be safe but simply can not catch a break. I can't say where because that would offer up SPOILERS but it's obvious that the location is Etna Station. But where exactly is that and why did they need to get there?With Volume 11 I didn't seem to feel the same when I walked away form it. Yes, it's good but it felt more like a way station (ha!) for the next volume more than a true story in itself. It didn't bother me since every one of these books are amazing!The greatest part is that the book never failed me. There's always non-stop laughter, oddities, horror and more waiting on every page. It's emotional, angering and frustrating as well. Everything that makes for a fun and perfect read.Read Zombie Fallout, book 11: Etna Station, then sit and wait, as I am for the next installment. A real ride this book has turned out to be. Laughing out funny at times and crying at others. You can never go wrong with Mark Tufo’s Writing style he literally sucks you into the story and you fall in love with the the characters. They feel so real. Thank you for another incredible book.

I didn’t even realize that the new Zombie Fallout book was coming out on the 22nd. I was waiting on the delivery of my copy of the new SK novel released on the same day. It wasn’t coming until Thursday and I was thrilled to get the new ZF book. Well, my new SK book came and as excited as I am to start reading it, I put it aside to finish ZF11. Each Zombie Fallout book gets better than the last and that is saying a lot since the first one was superb. I love riding along with the Talbot’s as they travel the zombie infested country. You’ll love this book!

First off I'm a huge fan of this author and have purchased every book he has written. And saying that the last two to three novels he has produced the zombie Fallout series have been subpar. The novel really do not gain any traction through the entire book. Fight scenes or poorly written had no suspense and we're pretty predictable on how they were going to end. The flashbacks flash forwards flash to the side the constant childlike Behavior of most of the main characters have grown very old and tiresome. None of the characters are developing or progressing like normal people would. The writer has a deep well he can draw from and chooses not to expand on all the potential he has set up for the books. Spoiler alert zombie gorilla the vampire Payne zombie baby barely even get mentioned in this book. The writing seemed heretic plot holes are gaping and I found it hard to keep up with a story. To the author please take your time get back to your basics evolve your characters and have a professional edit and streamline your work I will give the series one more chance before I call it quits.

Tufo knocks it out of the park once again! Another great addition to the Zombie Fallout series!! Once again Talbot and company find themselves being terrorized by a couple of our favorite old enemies, as well as, the ever present zombies. Talbot's humor in the face of diversity is classically entertaining and just what you look forward and expect from him. Just an all around great book!! I really hope there is more to come!

I finally finished this book. I took some time with it because I knew once i got into it, I would not put it down. I greatly enjoy this series and am always anxious of what is coming next for this family. BT finds love again, although Mike is a little freaked out; Trip is put in change of part of the group; will be interesting to find out what happened to them; Is Payne dead? Do they make it to Etna Station and will they be received or turned away? So many sub-stories you just cannot put the book down. You will wonder, laugh, and cry. Mark has a way of taking you on a garden path and leaving you there with his storytelling. Thank you sir, another awesome read.

If you have never read Zombie Fallout, get book one now! Michael Talbot is one of the greatest characters ever! You can love him and hate him with every breath. Hurry up Mark, I need another Talbot fix soon! And, thank you for sharing your works with us! Awesome read!

Mark has done it again! He keeps me holding my breath when Talbot attempts stunts that leave him at risk but yet he survives and so does his snarky, sarcastic wit! I can't complain; reading a Michael Talbot story keeps me entertained until the end.

In adition this book contain plenty knowledge about Raspberry programming and how it works, it contain several tips to learn in a very fast way all the complements of the theme, it also have a lot of good excersises to practice the coding.

If you are a creative person like me you will love this book. My girlfriend gave it to me and once I read it for the first time I decided to buy a raspberry pi and try it out.
